EFL League Two outfit Cheltenham Town are reportedly lining up a sensational move for Chelsea’s attacking wizard.
The Robins will be hoping to move into the new season with some added firepower after holding onto a spot in the league and Own Goal sources are suggesting a move for Eden Hazard could be upon us. Belgian ace Hazard has become a household name in football on the back of a stunning string of successful seasons with Chelsea where he’s notched up a tally of 57 goals in 174 appearances for the blues. Famed for his electric pace and combination of that speed with world-class dribbling, Hazard has been giving defences nightmares ever since he arrived in England in 2012.
Cheltenham Town will be looking at breaking their transfer record many times over to get this deal done but with chairman Paul Baker striking it lucky this month with the deposit of £1,000,000,000 into his bank account following the untimely death of a Nigerian Prince who left his fortune and estate to the club owner via an e-mail to his Hotmail inbox.
Own Goal has been pitched up outside Whaddon Road this morning as reports suggest that the Belgian could be due to land on the pitch via helicopter this afternoon. Local fans be sure to keep a look out at the sky and if you see Hazard’s chopper circling in the Cheltenham area, be sure to let us know.
We spoke to a few local fans walking by the stadium, Laura from Gloucester told us “I’ve been camped up here overnight waiting. I’ve wanted to see Eden’s chopper for a while ever since those photos of him in his speedos in Jamaica were published.”
Another local Andrew Stout added “Gary Johnson’s got everyone on board now both players and fans with this kind of transfer target in mind. We had a rough season last year but if we can get this Hazard deal over the line and add maybe a Neymar or Messi to bulk the squad out a bit, I think we can stay up and press on up the league”.
How much do you think Cheltenham will have to offer to attract Eden Hazard? Is it too much? Have football transfers gone made? Do you like dags? Let us know below.
