AFC Wimbledon Smash Record Transfer With Optimistic Bid For Mbappe
The EFL League 1 dons have stepped up their summer activity with an audacious bid for Monaco’s prominent wonderkid Kylian Mbappe. The classy forward has been linked to a number of clubs including Arsenal and Real Madrid but sources close to the club have informed us that it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that we could see one of world football’s most promising talents join The Wombles.
Chairman Erik Samuelson is said to have made an initial enquiry into Mbappe with a bid of £150 cash upfront, £50 on tick, a 6 month Netflix membership, a signed tie from Neal Ardley, 2 tickets to see Coldplay at Wembley Stadium next year and a handful of change in an assortment of world currencies. The bid will surely test Monaco’s resolve with the club apparently already turning down bids from more than one club this summer.
Football super-agent Piero Delgardo told Own Goal “These kinds of deals are commonplace in modern football but are mostly kept off the radar of news channels. Lukaku’s move to United was secured after Mourinho’s contract offer included rare Pokemon cards and some football stickers. You have to remember these players have been earning 6 figure a week salaries so they’re not exactly short on cash so these little add-ons really add a personal touch. Take Rooney’s move back to Everton – that deal wouldn’t have happened without the Kinder Eggs that were included on the contract.”

Retired AFC Wimbledon mascot Wandle told us “I might be retired but I’ve still got my finger on the pulse at the club. I got given a season ticket for life when I packed the job in which was a nice touch as my pension’s not even enough to cover my weekly cider bill. Anyway, back on subject I like the look of the lad and fancy him walking straight into the starting 11 here. He’s got a solid first touch, cracking shot accuracy and has lovely legs as well. Did I mention his accent? Love a French man me!”
Striker Mbappe started his career at AS Brondy were he was overseen by coach and father Wilfried. Rising through the industry at rapid pace, the powerful goal-scorer moved on through the highly-ranked Clairefontaine Academy before sealing a pro contract with French giants AS Monaco. Now firmly established in the first team of both club and country – the boy that done good is now stepping his game up to a whole new level on the top shelf of world football.
AFC Wimbledon’s journey towards the higher ranks of English football has been a story of struggle, perseverance but ultimately – progress. The club has made great strides to establish themselves as a real force having climbed the tiers up to League 1 and compiling a string of impressive cup runs on their way. Capturing the French dynamo’s signature would be a statement of intent for a club that’s looking up at the leagues above with determination and intent.
